Here you can taste and buy four main types of Madeira wine named after their grape varieties:
Sercial – a dry wine; whose flavour refreshes the senses and makes an excellent aperitif.
Verdelho - A medium dry wine, with a deep flavour, making an excellent aperitif which can also be served with the soup or consommé.
Bual – A rich medium sweet wine with a strong flavour; it can be served with the cheese, dessert or after dinner.
Malmsey – A dark coloured sweet wine with a soft texture; it is a wine to round off a meal together with the coffee.
